Henri (UMPA) & Lizelle

October 13, 2018

“I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.”
– Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

A special day for these 2, with a very special love story!!!

How did you meet?

We met in Church when Lizelle came and sat next to me at the Christmas Carols at Baptiste Church in Langenhovenpark. It was love at first sight after we made eye contact. We didn’t speak a word to each other but fell enormous chemistry and something special. We saw each other 2 weeks after the Sunday at Church and the sparks was there. The rest is history….

How did he/she propose?

Henri asked Lizelle at Navil Hill. He involved his and her family and friends. He had friends/Family holding up signs about 50 meters apart that had a message for Lizelle and at the end he asked her to Marry him. We then spend the night with a table and flowers and snacks on the deck at Navil Hill, drinking Champagne and looking at the Sunset.

What characteristics attracted you most to each other?

Why did you choose the venue?

Henri knows Johan & Freda from his DJ days. The Venue was easy to choose because its exactly what we wanted. Boere troue with an elegant twist. Johan & Freda really went out of there way to make our day the best day ever. They treated us like VIP’s and never complained about our expectations, just making sure that they reach it beyond words. Thank you to the Goosens.

Your dream wedding?

To remember the day for the rest of our lives and to ensure that the day is about us and the promise we made in front of God.
