Finding someone you love and who loves you back is a wonderful, wonderful feeling. But finding a true soul mate is an even better feeling. A soul mate is someone who understands you like no other, loves you like no other, will be there for you forever, no matter what. They say that nothing lasts forever, but I am a firm believer in the fact that for some, love lives on even after we’re gone.

— Cecelia Ahem, P.S I Love You

How did you meet?

In the hospital on call one night. He was the intern and I was the final year student. He was trying to impress me with his drip skills.

How did he/she propose?

He took me to De Oudekraal for my birthday and we had their 7 course dinner in their private wine cellar. He gave me my birthday present, a pandora charm, over pudding. When I opened it, it was a charm of a ring and when I took it out, a beautiful rose gold diamond ring was attached to it with fishing line. And when I looked up, he was on one knee and telling me that he wanted to do this forever with me. And when we got back to the room, it was full of red roses. So romantic!

What characteristics attracted you most to each other?

When we’re together, we laugh out of our bellies. He is so funny. He makes me literally laugh out loud.

Why did you choose the venue?

We wanted something unique and we chose Ireland because we like the cold and the green scenery and the sheep. No regrets, it was perfect.

Your dream wedding?

Just him and me. That’s all I wanted. In the prettiest dress and lots of flowers.
