How did you meet?

We share many mutual friends and growing up next door to close family made us aware of each other’s presence throughout our childhood years. Although so many more years went by growing up into young adults each on our own mission to conquer the world before we actually met up again in our early 30’s and that was it, the fairy tale-like “love at first sight”.

How did he/she propose?

We started dating late in December 2017 and very early in 2018 we started planning our dream wedding instantly knowing that we have found the person we both were waiting for to join each other’s mission on this journey called life. In March 2018 we decided to relocate together back to our hometown, Bloemfontein, and of course we leap jumped to our new life awaiting. Marchant proposed in April 2018 during our going away party in Kimberley.

What characteristics attracted you?

We share very similar characteristics that instantly attracted us to one another such as honesty, integrity, compassion and kindness but the very most important characteristic we share is our Christianity. We set our main goal and focus on building a Godly marriage, focusing on promoting each other’s strengths, encouraging growth on our weaknesses and honoring our differences.

Why did you choose the venue?

It was love at first sight when we arrived on our first visit to Leopards & Lace in Bloemfontein. This venue just effortlessly aligned with our vision of our dream wedding.

Your dream wedding?

Ultimately celebrating our unique love for each other was our main goal for this day but then there was this other goal at hand: having a seriously epic celebration party sharing with fun and happiness with our family and friends.

“What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life–to strength each other in all labor, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting?”
