“When I first saw you, I felt like I knew you, and I couldn’t stop seeing my life with you, and building a family together. One that isn’t stuck in the pain of the past. It’s very pretty. And so, if you’re asking me if my proposition still stands, then my answer is yes. Yes. A thousand times, yes.” — The Light Between Oceans
“No relationship is perfect, ever. There are always some ways you have to bend, to compromise, to give something up in order to gain something greater…The love we have for each other is bigger than these small differences. And that’s the key. It’s like a big pie chart, and the love in a relationship has to be the biggest piece. Love can make up for a lot.” ― Sarah Dessen, This Lullaby
“I heard what you said. I’m not the silly romantic you think. I don’t want the heavens or the shooting stars. I don’t want gemstones or gold. I have those things already. I want…a steady hand. A kind soul. I want to fall asleep, and wake, knowing my heart is safe. I want to love, and be loved.” ― Shana Abe
“Well, it seems to me that the best relationships – the ones that last – are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is… suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with.” – Gillian Anderson
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
“I’m in love with you,” he said quietly.”Augustus,” I said.”I am,” he said. He was staring at me, and I could see the corners of his eyes crinkling. “I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.”
― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars
This was definitely one of my favourite weddings – Zirkia & Marchant just have this amazing connection to each other. Their love is out there for all to see!
Leopards & Lace gave us the perfect setting to create these awesome images!
May your love be an inspiration to many a couple for many years to come!!!
This was one of those weddings I just couldn’t wait for!!! Having known Willem and Chanel since the start of their relationship, I knew this day was going to be extra special.
We had a few early morning showers, which made everything bright & clean. And Wow! An awesome winter sunset, like only the Free State can deliver.
Wishing the 2 of you a long and happy marriage, filled with love and amazing adventures.”
Road tripping to this venue brought back so many memories, as a child I grew up in this area, so many of the landmarks were so familiar.
When meeting Anrika and Nils at their engagement shoot, I got the feeling this was going to be a family wedding, every aspect being very sentimental. One of their favourite pastimes is hunting, so being close to nature was a must, as well as this little town’s famous landmark – Koffiebus & Teebus – the mountains!
Hope your day was everything you dreamed of and may the journey ahead be blessed and full of love.
Having known Cherne for quite some time, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. I met Hennie at their engagement shoot and saw that this was a match made in heaven!
Cherne got dressed at her parents house and the emotions were tangible, but she was relaxed and excited! Hennie got dressed at Monte Bello and was ready for action.
The 2 of them couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and venue.
Come rain or sunshine, Danelle & Lomon were getting married!!!! Danelle’s excitement to walk down the isle and marry the love of her life, was so contagious. And the beautiful venue, being very special to Danelle and her family, made sure this wedding would be just perfect!!
As Danelle arrived at the ceremony, it started to drizzle, and being an outside wedding, I wondered if my bride would proceed. She was not going to wait another second and made her grand entrance. Needless to say the skies paused, and presented us with some amazing clouds, and gave us more than enough time to capture their special day!
This was definitely one of those weddings where I was blessed with having all a photographer can ask for!!!
Beautiful bride, handsome groom, stunning venue and gorgeous venue!!!!
I have known Leande for sometime now, having met her through a mutual friend and client. So having heard about her engagement, I prayed that I would be the lucky one to capture her special day!
Everything about this day was just magic, Leandè & Meyer, I pray that your marriage will be blessed and full of amazing journey’s together!!!
